Because we directly control the manufacture of the parts we supply we are often the most cost effective source for replacement parts. Converting Storeroom proactively manages the cost to produce replacement parts with the goal of continuous cost management.
Inventory management is a primary concern for all of our customers in the consumer paper converting industry. We understand what parts are best built to order to eliminate the concern over the cost of obsolescence and what parts are best managed by holding some level of inventory to drive unit costs down. On cost critical items or when delivery lead-time is of primary concern Converting Storeroom will take on the risk of holding inventory at our facility which allows us to be of even higher value to our customers.
As our customers identify high frequency wear parts Converting Storeroom is capable of re-engineering the replacement part to reduce the cost of manufacture and take advantage of alternative materials and design to improve durability. By supplying a more durable part we not only save customers the excessive cost of the replacement parts but we save our customers the production down time and the cost of labor necessary to change out parts

Converting Storeroom has supported the Lewiston converting operation in a variety of ways. Through storeroom surveys they have identified parts that can be supplied at lower cost or shorter delivery lead-time. When they complete any necessary reverse engineering of a new part they provide alternatives to either lower cost or improve the useful life of the part when they see opportunities to drive that improvement.
